The Importance of Attitude
Of everything you have going for you, your attitude is the most important. It is what will fit you with the best shoes for going around the boulders in our path, it is what will help you overcome barriers, and it will make you great. Because a good attitude is the force that makes us persist, resist, and triumph.
Our attitude cannot be seen, it cannot be touched, but it manifests itself in our responses, in our way of dealing with the day-to-day.
My attitude is defined in such a way that if you bring me close to the abyss to watch me fall, you will discover that there is not a single weakness in me that can make me fall; my heart is both strong and on display, and I do not want to fight useless battles anymore.
Our attitude does not show up over night. In fact, life creates it through different processes. Not giving up, not seeing the shadows on cloudy days, standing up to life with resilience, balance, and believing we can triumph are all components of attitude. It is not jut a matter of being optimistic. We must also maintain an objective realism where we know how to bring out the best in ourselves.
Because it is not the person who takes up the most space who is great, but the person who leaves a greater void when he leaves. This greatness is forged day after day by maintaining a good attitude that makes us happy and also makes others happy.
My attitude is my armor and a garden that never wilts
There are attitudes for all tastes and colors. There are even some for each moment of the day. We are sure that you also know someone who has an unpredictable attitude. Sometimes they seem combative and a moment later, they are overcome by such a fatalistic dejection that they almost infect us with it.
There are two dimensions that tend to define people: the first is our patience when things are not going the way we had hoped, when we have nothing. The second is our attitude when we have everything.
It is quite possible that you think that our attitudes and our personality are the same thing. They are related, there is no doubt about that. Our attitudes are present in everything we do. They are what makes us accept or reject something. They give zest to our daily triumphs, or, to the contrary, steal our thunder and make us fall into those most dejected behaviors.
Attitudes are defined by a cognitive component, an affective one, and a behavioral one. They are processes that we gradually internalize over the course of our lives and experiences until they define us and the choices that we make.
An untrusting attitude, based on caution, fear of the consequences, and the constant memory of mistakes or bad experiences from the past, will make us live a very closed reality based on protecting ourselves.
On the other hand, those people who have come to terms with their past in a healthy way, with resilience, and who see life as a constant opportunity, will have a more open and favorable attitude.
It is often said that attitudes are not aptitudes and that they are really pillars that give us the altitude from which we can see the world in all its glory. There where dreams spread out into our hands’ reach…
We also know that it is not always easy to “look at the big picture” when we have problems and worries. But it’s the attitude we adopt in these circumstances that truly defines us. Do not allow your positive attitudes to wilt in the chaotic rumblings of life.
Find your best attitudes and put them at the top each and every day of your life
There are days when we cannot go on. When no matter how much we want to look for that daily ray of light, we can only see the dark. And even worse, sometimes even those around us reinforce that state of defenselessness. What can we do?
Today I am choosing to be brave and take a step towards the light, towards that which inspires me. You are free to do whatever you like, you are the master of your own attitude, but mine will push me to believe in myself again.
As we have said, it is not easy to suddenly wrap ourselves in positivity like someone who decides to throw magical powder on themselves. Happiness does not know rituals nor magic, but it does know attitudes.
Attitudes are a psychological construct that can be reoriented, changed, and focused towards a goal. For this, we must believe that we deserve to become better, that we deserve to be happy again.
Change your thoughts and you will change your attitude to transform your reality. Through thoughts come emotions, then motivation, and finally the search for a goal.
Keep in mind that sometimes, those who surround us can have a strong effect on our attitudes. Keep a proper distance between yourself and the people who erode your personal growth, and dare to walk more lightly, to walk more freely…
Look inside yourself, take care of yourself, talk to yourself, and understand that all of your greatness is there, hidden within you: dare to pull it out, let that strong attitude emerge that will allow you to be the sole owner of your dreams so that you can share them with the people you love.
