There Will Always Be Obstacles, but You Always Have the Power to Face Them

There Will Always Be Obstacles, but You Always Have the Power to Face Them

Last update: 05 February, 2017

We live in a world where we are socially conditioned to only look at the negative. We focus on those obstacles that if unaddressed, prevent us from seeing beyond them. Barriers that, in many cases, require exceptional character and learning experience to overcome.

Maybe in your life, like in mine, you’re only focusing on solutions. And maybe some of them foreign to you, am I right?.

The fact is that when it comes to overcoming these obstacles, we’re not so confident in who we are as people, as human beings. We do not believe we have the right tools and options we need to fix these situations, but in fact, they are within you and in your heart. The mistake? You don’t trust your power, your enormous inner innate potential.

“‘Self-trust is the first secret of success.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson-

When it comes to solving problems, we usually put ourselves aside. We seek to continually improve ourselves, making changes that affect our life without listening to ourselves. And in the end, we all become copies together. We seek to be like our idols, believing that they truly represent and have what is best for us, which is what will eventually make us happy.

You have everything you need to improve yourself

But, why is this philosophy wrong? Because the person you should want to imitate and be more like is yourself. And simply seek to improve and expand your essence and your potential as a human being. Life gives you obstacles to excel and the opportunity to realize that you have everything you need to trust and improve yourself.

We are different, and so each of us will solve the same problem in a different way. It’s positive and healthy to have references, inspirations and life teachers from which you just take what is recommended for your person, but never forget yourself in order to be like them. It is best to focus on oneself and avoid comparisons. Only use the latter to learn to understand what you need.

In my life I learned that the key to improving myself and breaking any barrier in my day to day is to know myself, know who I am, and learn to discover my innate talents and how to use them to the fullest. I accept my shortcomings, honor them, and understand that they are there to love me and remind me that I’m not perfect. I’ve learned that if i don’t “know” how solve one of these problems, I have to be humble enough to ask for help.

“If you do not fight for what you want, do not be sorry for what you have.”

Each and every one of us is an extraordinary person. Except that you still haven’t been able to “love yourself from the heart”, to discover it and to take the first step, restoring confidence in yourself. You are an extremely capable person, full of vital talent that’s necessary to carry out the adventure of life.

What are the main ingredients to believing in yourself?

Humility and attitude. Know what you want and why you want it. Find what defines you as a unique and different human being. That which can be be your ultimate goal. Instead of worrying too much about the difficulties and obstacles in your life, stop to understand your strengths and increase the quality of your own outlook of life.

Figure out what truly defines you and go for it. Don’t let negative thoughts get in the way of you becoming the best version of yourself that you could ever meet; one that has a solution to overcome any obstacle in their way.

“Most see obstacles; few see objectives; history records the successes of this latter, while oblivion is the reward of the first. “
-Alfred A. Montapert-
