Boldness Means Losing Balance (For a Moment)

Boldness Means Losing Balance (For a Moment)

Last update: 06 August, 2018

Boldness always has a bit of optimism. To be bold is to become a part of the resistance which is made up of extraordinary individuals. These individuals are able to create and give way to progress. Not being bold, on the other hand, is like being in an endless rehearsal without ever debuting.

Boldness means losing balance. For that, we need to have the courage and make the decision of getting what we’re after, even if there’s a good amount of risk, fear, and insecurity. However, by not doing it, we risk the danger of losing ourselves by not finding ourselves. Fear is always ready to make things seem much worse than what they really are, thus modifying our point of view.

Everything we wish to achieve is out there, because what’s inside us, already belongs to us. We have to have the boldness to get outside of our comfort zone. Only by doing this will we ensure we don’t miss out on life’s greatest treasures. Anybody can do it, but not everybody has the courage to try it. Sooner or later, we become our thoughts.

Boldness as a key to happiness.

In many cases, it’s just a matter of being bold

Fear, if you let it take over, will turn you into a slave. Furthermore, it does it in such a stealthy way that, when you finally realize it, it’s too late. The key to this lock in most cases is arming ourselves with boldness, even audacity in some occasions, as well as faith in ourselves and in our possibilities. Fear makes us think we can’t swim to new horizons if we don’t have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

All of us, at least once, have found ourselves at the crossroads of having to decide between being bold and risking it all or sitting tight and watching others pass us by. We have felt the fear and the hope of getting down to work and achieving it, of overcoming difficulties, and enjoying the process.

We owe all progress to the people who were bold enough to be different. Think of the steam-powered vehicle in the 18th century. Nobody, except its creator, Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot, believed in the idea he was bold enough to come up with. Remember how many ideas we thought were insane until they became a reality. Imagine if you could have created one of them.

If we stayed in the prologue of our lives, we’d hardly know it. Robert Lee Frost, the American poet considered one of the founders of modern poetry, once said: “I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life in three words: it goes on”.

Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes

Fernandez Abascal, psychology teacher and motivation expert, tells us that motivation can accurately explain how and why we behave in certain ways and not others. Researchers agree that motivation is a concept that activates, directs, and maintains behavior.

Most geniuses, which are considered that way because of their boldness, don’t necessarily think of themselves as geniuses nor act with the motivation of being considered a genius by their peers. Instead, they do so because they are motivated to actStudies reveal that people who don’t reach their objectives, in general, are characterized by a lax discipline and give up easily on their goals. It’s true that, in many cases, difficulties call for prudence. However, it’s also true that, in many cases, the lack of faith is the true difficulty.

Life is either a bold adventure or it’s nothing. Security is mainly a superstition, it doesn’t exist in nature. Motivation, or the lack of, gives us a glimpse of the causes that trigger our behavior. It tries to give us answers as to why we act in certain ways. Therefore, although being bold means losing balance for a moment, it’s a necessary price to pay. The new balance that we reach is more solid and above all, more exciting. In this way, deep inside, we all have a mission: to make it happen.
